The Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare would on Sunday be the guest of honour at the launch of the new book, “In The Long Run-The Great Race Fiasco” written by Olympic Gold Medallist, Enefiok Udo-Obong.
The book chronicles the sad experience of a young Nigerian athlete, Gideon Haggack who was jailed, prosecuted and later denied his reward because he ‘dared’ to win an international marathon defeating all including the most dreaded Kenyans.
A host of top leaders from the sports, business and entertainment industries including the Plateau State Commissioner of Sports and the Lagos State Sports Commission chairman would be present at the launch in which Gideon Haggack himself would be present from his humble life in the Pankshin region of Plateau state.
