Davido’s personal logistics manager, Isreal Afeare aka Israel DMW has narrated how he was accused by a former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu of phone theft.

In a series of videos shared by the Afrobeats singer via his Insta stories, the aide was captured recounting the incident to his boss and others in the sitting room who kept laughing as he spoke.

According to Israel, he met Momodu at the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote in 2007 where his phone got missing.

He said they flew in the same plane to Lagos and on arrival, Momodu asked him to get into his car and took him somewhere private to search him. When the 62-year-old businessman didn’t find the phone on him, Israel noted he was given N2,000 with an apology.

Isreal later placed a call to the former presidential candidate, jokingly recounting the incident.

The International Studies and Diplomacy graduate, narrating the incident to the journalist said: “Uncle, I am remembering how we met in 2007 at Aliko Dangote’s party that your phone was stolen. Uncle your phone was stolen and you thought I was the one that took your phone.

”Uncle when we boarded the same flight, Arik to Lagos, you said I should enter your vehicle, the next thing you took me to one place to go and search, you said I took your phone. So anytime I keep remembering that.”

Although Israel said it happened in 2007 a screenshot and the caption on the IV shared via his Insta story reflected 2008.

The caption read: “I attended dis Alhaji Aliko’s daughter’s wedding in 2008. Uncle Dele was the mc. His fone was stolen.”
