LAGOS State Deputy Governor Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule yesterday assured Lagosians of their safety and welfare at all times.
Mrs Adebule implored them to continue to be law abiding.
She urged Muslims to celebrate moderately in line with the lifestyle of the Prophet Muhammad.
While felicitating with Muslims in Lagos and Nigeria, she noted that the festive period calls for sober reflections, appreciation of Allah’s mercies on the state for the peace and progress made so far.
The Deputy Governor hailed Lagosians for maintaining harmonious co-existence in the challenging period of insecurity in the country.
She urged them to continue to live together with mutual respect and tolerance for one another so that we can continue to enjoy the delivery of good governance, economic prosperity and safer Lagos which the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s government is providing.
She urged parents and guardians to ensure their children and wards eschew violence and refuse to be lured or brainwashed to engage in anti-social activities during and after the celebration.
