Digital FavCards to be powered by renewable energy

Business partners Wesley Burke and Chris Nmezi have created a virtual business card which would be run on servers powered by renewable energy. The partners described it as ‘Africa’s digital business card solution’ which is fast, simple and innovative. It is known as ‘FavCards’.

Burke noted that he worked hard to create the virtual card because he regularly forget his business cards at home. He said the card was designed to use only servers that were powered by renewable energy and to run only when it’s needed. This, he said, made the cards ‘significantly better for the environment than any other existing digital business card’.

“I originally created a card to use for my own business. I kept forgetting (my business cards) at home. It was unprofessional so I created a virtual card that would be available wherever I was. Many other digital business card companies had major downsides and were difficult to use. I worked very hard to make FavCards easy to use and have industry-leading features. The environment is extremely important to me so I designed FavCards to use only servers that were powered by renewable energy and designed everything to run only when it’s needed. This makes the cards significantly better for the environment than any other existing digital business card,” he said.

He listed some of its major features to include the ability for any country to access it and extremely high share limits (set at 1 million shares per user).

” We’ve added industry leading security, fast loading times – even on slow networks, and simple user management for companies of any size! The U.S. alone prints 10 billion business cards annually and 88% of them are thrown away in one week after use, which is a huge waste of resources. By using FavCards, we can all help the environment,” he added.

Nmezi said he wanted the card to expand to Nigeria because of the country’s desire to participate in and take advantage of the ongoing digital conversions in many parts of the world.

He said: ” I wanted FavCards to expand to Nigeria because I took notice of our country’s desire to participate in and take advantage of the ongoing digital conversions in many parts of the world. When applied properly, digitization improves efficiency and it also leads to an increase in productivity. When you’re not spending time typing in one contact datum after another, it can be better used to socialize and network with even more people. You could even have the opportunity to meet your business partner who will take you to the next level.

As it applies to the Cards, you can manage your contacts much better because whatever is added to the sender’s FavCard is what the receiver gets. This includes multiple emails photos, videos, podcast links, YouTube accounts, Facebook pages, Instagram handles, vanity websites, downloadable content, and so much more! How could all of this information fit on a traditional business card? I believe strongly that just about all Nigerian entrepreneurs, politicians, entertainers & entertainment impresarios, business executives, freelancers, athletes, and university students, and online content creators can benefit immensely from FavCards. You can share everything at once. It just makes sense.”
