American mass media company Disney is set to release the first Nigerian animation series called “Iwaju”
iwaju is said to be following the futuristic coming-of-age story of the Nigerian mega city, Lagos about Tola, a rich heiress and Kole, a street boy.

The series, according to the media company, is a love letter to Nigeria.

Taking to their official twitter account, disney wrote:
“Journey into a futuristic version of Lagos, Nigeria with the first look of Disney animation and Kugali’s Iwaju!
The all-new original series streams on #DisneyPlus in 2023. D23Expo”
