Doctor begs Makinde to help in recovering fund

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde

A United Kingdom-based Nigerian doctor, Damian Ezeh, has appealed to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to assist in the recovery of N10 million

Ezeh said he invested the money in Titan Multibusiness Investment Ltd., an Ibadan-based company, which he alleged swindles unsuspecting investors.

He made the appeal in a February 4 letter, titled:  ‘A clarion call on you to help Dr. Damian Ezeh, a UK- based Nigerian doctor recover his money fraudulently obtained from him under spurious investment scheme in the amount of N10 million from Aare Gbenga Eyiolawi and his company, Titan Multibusiness Investment Ltd’.

The letter was signed by the Executive Director of Centre for Moral Clarity and Change, Mr. Chris Ahanonu.

Ezeh said he reported the matter to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in December.

He said he petitioned the anti-graft agency to investigate the investment scheme, and cause the firm to return the N10 million.

CMCC pleaded with Makinde to use his good offices to compel Eyiolawi and his company to refund the money to Ezeh.

The letter urged the governor to probe the activities of the firm, with a view to ascertaining the damage done to the state and the country.

Efforts to reach Eyiolawi proved abortive, as his number was switched off when The Nation called him. Text messages sent to his phone were undelivered.
