Chairman, Itire-Ikate Local Council  Development Area (LCDA), Dr Ahmed Apatira, has urged residents not to partake in the protest.

He said protests could be hijacked by hoodlums and lead to violence and unrest.

Apatira spoke yesterday during a Stakeholders Forum, where food was distributed to some residents.

The council boss implored the people to reconsider the consequences of protest before embarking on it.

He added that no outsider would be allowed to protest and cause crisis in the community
