Doyinsola is winner of The Nation/UNICAF MBA scholarship

Awe Oluwatosin Doyinsola, a B.A. graduate, is the winner of The Nation/Unicaf University MBA Scholarship for Nigeria.

He was chosen from a pool of eligible candidates as the winner of the prestigious award, which was advertised in The Nation, furthering its commitment to the promotion of quality education for Nigerians.

Awe was chosen on the basis of pre-set criteria; he was found to be the best candidate, exhibiting an excellent combination of high level academic background, professional experience, and personal qualities, combined with a lack of financial means for post graduate study.

The winner receives a full scholarship, covering 100 percent  of the tuition fees, totalling $10,000, for the Master of Business Administration Programme, offered online by multi-campus Unicaf University.

Receiving the award, Awe stated that he had been searching for ways to fund his MBA, as a way of contributing to the creation of an improved socioeconomic environment in Nigeria, and sub-Saharan Africa, more conducive to development and progress, where productivity and the economy can improve year by year, but not at the expense of the people or the community.

Mr Victor Ifijeh, Managing Director of The Nation  congratulated Awe, urging him to make the best use of this opportunity to enhance his academic knowledge and professional skills.

In his congratulatory message, the Vice Chancellor of Unicaf University, Dr Kevin Andrews, said that Awe’s contribution deserved the award of the full scholarship and he expressed his confidence that Awe will make the most of it.  Dr Andrews also expressed his pleasure for the collaboration with The Nation in promoting Unicaf University degree programmes and the UNICAF Scholarship Programme, which he described as an ideal opportunity for Nigerian candidates, who now have the chance to study online, through UNICAF, to earn international standard qualifications with partner universities in the UK, Europe and Africa, paying only a fraction of the cost with a UNICAF scholarship.
