Five persons, including a couple and their little daughter, haev died in an accident on Awka-Onitsha Expressway, Anambra State.

The crash, which occurred around 7.20pm on Sunday, involved a truck and a Lexus vehicle  with five persons on board.

The Nation gathered that the truck driver, reportedly drunk, was  at top speed when he lost control and rammed into the Lexus vehicle with the couple, their daughter and two friends on board.

Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi confirmed the incident. The driver reportedly fled.
