Drivers in the employ of Lagos State have been urged to be good ambassadors by comporting themselves always.
Administration and Human Resources director of Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre (Governor’s Office) at Alausa in Ikeja spoke at the monthly meeting of Lagos State Pilots Association.
Represented by Deputy Director in the Office of Chief of Staff to the governor Damola Atanda-Lawal, she described the drivers as representatives and ambassadors of government.
Chairman of the association Olayiwola Ramoni, who was represented by Vice Chairman Oyedele Afolabi, enjoined his colleagues to be conscious of their character and behaviour.
“With good character, you wouldn’t know when God will touch your boss to do unimaginable good things for you…” he said.
Head Driver in the Office of the Chief of Staff Mr. Dada Salami advised his colleagues to be neat and presentable.
The drivers appealed to the government to upgrade their status in the civil service and accommodate them for training and retraining.
