Stanley Eguma has stated that Rivers United are confident that the acquisition of Efosa Eguakun will improve the team ahead of their campaign next season.
“We decided to bring Efosa on board because of his experience. I have known him for long and when the chance came to add to the number of strikers we have, we didn’t hesitate to do so. He has played at the big stages before and he will offer us something different,” Eguma told Goal.
Eguma said that they decided to sign the striker because of his experience which could prove crucial when the chips are down especially in Africa where are bound to meet very strong opposition in the Caf Champions League.
Eguakun played for Julius Berger, Dolphins, Al Merrikh (Sudan), Al Masry (Egypt) among other clubs and he is best utilised as a right winger and can function properly as a central or offensive midfielder.
