Ekiti State has approved procurement of a soft-ware platform to help project officers and executives manage monitoring and perfor mance tracking activities.
Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, who spoke in Ado Ekiti, said the Strategic Project Monitoring System (SPMS), also called DASHBOARD, would boost collaboration between project team members and executives.
“DASHBOARD comes with an internal use soft-ware that digitises project files and pictures to be accessible easily and securely online to assist in actualising Ekiti Performance, Assessment, Improvement Report (EKPAIR) goals and objectives that could be used in tracking activities of the MDAs.”
He added: “Experiences and feedbacks obtained revealed that tracking of activities using an automated software-based system is essential to help fast-track the monitoring of activities/programmes of MDAs which would ultimately lead to more efficient and effective in-service delivery to the state.”

The Director General/ Special Adviser, Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD), Dr. John Ekundayo, listed other benefits of the software to include proper execution and timely delivery of developmental projects to residents while project files and pictures would be digitalized to make them secure and easily accessible online thus allowing prompt access to project information for executive decision making with the Governor easy access anywhere without the usual cumbersome consultation.
Stressing that the system also has the ability to expunge duplicated information on the data base, Dr. Ekundayo said it would, in addition, help to block all forms of financial leakages consequently saving money for the State that can be used for other developmental ventures.
He said: ”With the State Executive Council’s approval for the award of contract for the monitoring system to MESSRS IRESKILLS CONCEPT at a contract sum of N58,474,625.00, Ekiti State, seemingly, becomes the first State in the Country to deploy a DASHBOARD to aid in service delivery.”
