IT will be two days of fun as Nigerian comedian, Elder O, will be hosting this year’s O’jez Sallah Nite and O’jez Independence Groove shows scheduled for September 23 and October 1 respectively.
Billed for the open air section of the celebrity restaurant chain, O’jez, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos outlet, organisers say that both shows will also feature Elder O’s sidekick MC Phrymzo.
The O’jez Sallah Nite will feature the Evergreen Band, dance group Scata & Sons and resident Disc Jockey, DJ Multi, according to O’jez management.
“We celebrate with our Muslim customers when they are celebrating, that is why every year; we always hold the O’jez Sallah Nite. Don’t forget also that there is the O’jez Xmas Blast. This edition of the O’jez Sallah Nite will be as unique as last year’s and even more,” Joseph Odobeatu, Chief Executive Officer, O’jez Group said.
On the oncoming O’jez Independence Groove, Odobeatu, popularly called ‘O’jez’ said it would be a night to remember.
“We will make Nigeria’s 55th Independence anniversary a memorable one for our customers. Our clientele are very important to us as a chain of celebrity restaurant, so we always strive to add more value to the exquisite African, Continental and Chinese cuisine we serve them by complimenting it with top notch comedy, dance and music every Friday and Sunday and every national or religious day in our calendar,” he said.
Elder O and MC Prymzo would be on call on October 1 but this time, the O’jez Band led by Vitus will feature Tony Okri, music veteran, Mike Okri’s younger brother, the only female singer of the band, Colours and Pastor who specializes in a medley of highlife and upbeat gyration songs for all occasions.
