Nigeria international Elderson Echiejile has told AfricanFootball.com he is disappointed Monaco failed to beat his old club Stade Rennes in a French Ligue 1 match on Saturday night.
Monaco was forced to a 1-1 draw by Rennes in a game which the visitors had the dominance in possession and created more chances.
Monaco are presently third on the league table with 59 points from 33 matches.
Elderson,who was on from start to finish of this encounter, told AfricanFootball.com after the game, “We are disappointed not to have held on to win the game.
“We want to keep winning at this stage of the season so as to put us in contention for the league title.”
“We have noted our mistakes and hope to correct them in the coming games,”he said.
