One of the contestants for the national chairmanship position of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emokpaire Ibrahim, yesterday visited the National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.
A statement by his media aide, Segun Jones, said Emokpaire visited the secretariat to consult with Odigie-Oyegun on issues affecting the party, especially on the just-concluded ward and local government congresses.
The statement reads: “My principal came to exchange new ideas with the incumbent national chairman on the way forward to avoid a carryover effect when he takes over.”
It added that that visit was also to clear insinuations making the rounds about a consensus candidate.
