ENTERTAINERS SERENADE PORT HARCOURT RESIDENTS

IT was a day of unprecedented fun for residents of Port Harcourt recently as ten of the nation’s top entertainers performed for over six hours, courtesy of Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour.

The artistes who mounted the stage at the Garden City were Katch, Di’ja, Omawumi, Kiss Daniel, Yemi Alade, Phyno and Tuface Idibia who took turns to delight the mammoth crowd.

Also in the team were the trio of Patience Ozokwor, a.k.a. Mama G, Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) and Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), who made guest appearances.

In addition, DJ Nana, Nigeria’s top female disc Jockey, kept the venue alive with groovy tracks from his juke box.

The show which was anchored by Nollywood star actress, Uche Jombo and her Ghollywood colleague, Juliet Ibrahim was held at Hub Event Centre, Trans Amadi area of the city.

Uche Ikachukwu, a.k.a. Katch was the first artiste on the stage and he gave a good account of himself before Di’Ja, the queen of Marvin Records took over. She serenaded the crowd with her popular tracks including Awww, Yaro and Wan Chop which were roundly applauded.

Next was Megbele crooner and Glo brand ambassador, Omawumi who dazzled the mammoth crowd with her award-winning tracks such as Bonsue, Somori, kokoma, What a Bang Bang and As I Dey. She rounded off her energetic performance by presenting a pair of her expensive shoes to one of her fans, Juliet Emubor, who was very outstanding when she danced to her Bonsue track.

Others who performed include Tuface whose evergreen tracks took the show to another level, and the trio of Kiss Daniel, Yemi Alade, Phyno who all gave the guests exhilarating experiences.

According to the organisers, the ancient city of Ikorodu, in Lagos State, will host the 27th edition of the show.
