Rivers-born musician, entertainment entrepreneur Mr Tubokiki Opubo Briggs aka Kikis has appealed to Governor Nyesom Wike for assistance to acquire sophisticated music equipment for entertainment and event management in the State.

The Director of Tubkiks multipurpose company Ltd, in a viral letter, said the equipment will cost N100m.

He promised to refund the soft loan to that tune under agreeable conditions, stating the support will give entertainment business a massive boost in the oil-rich State.

Kikis, who praised Wike for his unique leadership qualities that have developed the State and created an enabling atmosphere that guarantees stability and economic promotion, thanked the Governor for his patronage and encouragement of talented youths across the State.

The entertainment enthusiast, who started his music carrier in 2005, acknowledged the industry has made a positive impact on him and youths in the State.

He said he is an employer of labour of over 50 youths on his payroll in the State, many of whom consider him their mentor and ambassador.

He called on all youths and people of Rivers to shun all social vices and anti-development tendencies and support the vision of Wike to build a better State that will further create an enabling environment and

harness the energy and talents of the booming youth population.

Kikis assured if his appeal for support/loan is considered by the benevolent Governor, it will not only enable him to acquire sophisticated entertainment equipment but increase the number of employees in his entertainment firm to over 100.

Many of them, he argued, would also become employers of labour since the entertainment sector is next largest employer after the civil service.

He pointed out the industry has the potentials to increase the revenue of the State as it correlates with tourism and hospitality.
