A former Lagos Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Olasupo Shasore (SAN) has again been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before an Ikeja Special Offences Court for allegedly laundering $200,000.
His arraignment at Ikeja Special Offences Court before Justice Mojisola Dada came barely 24 hours after his arraignment at Federal High Court, Lagos for same offence by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
While he faced a four count charge at Federal High Court, Lagos, Shasore was arraigned yesterday on two counts charge at Ikeja Court.
The prosecution team led by Bala Sanga alleged that the defendant corruptly gave the sum of $100,000 to the Director Legal, Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Olufolakemi Adelore, on account of the role she played in the arbitral proceedings instituted by Process and Industrial Developments Limited (P&ID) against the ministry.
He was also alleged to have corruptly gave another $100,000 to Secretary to the Cooperation and Coordinator, (NNPC), Ikechukwu Oguine on account of role he also played in the arbitral proceedings instituted by P&ID against the ministry.
He said the offence is contrary to Section 9(1)(a)(b) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2020.

He pleaded not guilty to the two counts charge filed before Justice Mojisola Dada bordering on alleged corrupt offers to public officers.
Following his not guilty plea, Sanga requested for a trial date and urged the court to remand the defendant in the Correctional facility pending trial.
However, the defendant counsel team led by Mr. Yemi Candide-Johnson (SAN) prayed the court to grant him bail on liberal terms or on self-recognizance.
He submitted that the defendant is not a flight risk and will not interfere with investigation by the prosecution
The prosecution did not oppose the bail application.
Justice Dada granted the defendant bail and released him to the lead counsel with a promise to undertake to present him at the next adjourned date.
She adjourned trial to December 6, 2022.
