Ezenwa says FCIU will bounce back

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa believes FC IfeanyiUbah will bounce back from the setback to amass maximum points in the midweek Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash against Rivers United.

“First, it was important that there were no injuries recorded after that very difficult match against Rivers United. In football, you cannot win every day; we won our first home game (4-0 against MFM FC) but we could only draw against Rivers United.

“The fans should stay calm because we believe better days are ahead,” he explained to supersport.com.

FCIU will now travel to Bauchi to face Wikki Tourists in their next NPFL game on Sunday.

The Tourists did not lose a single game at home last season and have continued their sparkling home form this term.

Ezenwa, however, believes that a shock FCIU win could be on the cards on Sunday.

“Anyone who has seen us play this season will agree with me that we have a very good team.

“Even when we play away from home, we dominate and create very good chances.

“If we play to our capabilities on Sunday, I am sure we will shock Wikki at home,” he said.
