Christopher Danjuma, coach of the national under-20 women football team, said they were ready for their return leg encounter with Senegal in the 2022 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Danjuma told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Benin yesterday that the Falconets have mapped out a strategy on how to take the game beyond their opponents.
NAN reports that the Nigerian side who host Senegal on Saturday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin had won the first leg fixture 3-1 away about a fortnight ago.
Danjuma said his team trained yesterday’s morning and would hopefully conclude their training sessions for the match today at the venue of the match.
“Thankfully, we have no injury scare and the girls are ready for the game. Our first leg fixture gave us an opportunity to know the Senegalese better. So, we are prepared and ready to go,” he said.
The Falconets had arrived in Benin on Wednesday for the final phase of their preparation for the match.
