Family, friends and well-wishers yesterday celebrated appointment of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.
The event at City Club Arcade, Femi Ayantuga Crescent, Surulere, Lagos, was organised by her Savage family.
Her mother, Mrs Winifred Ogundimu, hailed loved ones and members for their support.
She said: ‘’Let us ensure the Savage name is guarded and protected in Nigeria and in the diaspora. This can be done by ensuring the love in us is sacrosanct.

Other relatives spoke, noting Kekere-Ekun’s dedication, perseverance and passion for her profession.
There were prayers, congratulatory messages and testimonials from colleagues and mentors. Guests enjoyed music and entertainment, reflecting Kekere-Ekun’s diverse interests and talents.
