FCAAN partners American varsity to train Nigerian coaches

Africa’s largest football coaching organisation, the Football Coaches Association of African Nations (FCAAN), and one of the leading Universities in the United States of America, Baker University, have agreed on a partnership for coaches’ education.

FCAAN Founder and President, Terry Eguaoje, described the partnership as a good development for coaching education in the continent.

“It is a sign of the progress made at FCAAN and our determination to boost coaching education across all levels”, he said.

Over the years, FCAAN has grown to become the coaching education partner of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) tasked with developing coaches in Nigeria from grassroots to professional levels.

Speaking on the initiative, Baker University Dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Students, Dr. Matthew Bice said: “I am excited about the partnership between Baker University and the Football Coaches Association of Africa Nations (FCAAN) because it highlights how education connects people

“Our accredited online programs, paired with the ability to obtain coaching credentials in-person, open endless opportunities, including international partners. Dr. Terry Eguaoje is a global leader. We are proud to partner with him and FCAAN to enrich the soccer community.”

With this development, FCAAN members will enjoy a discount at Baker University, which offers coaching education in addition to its regular courses.

FCAAN & Baker University will announce more levels of collaboration in the nearest future.
