Global body, Pension and Investment (P&I) World Pension Summit has nominated Federal Capital Territory Area Council Staff Pension Board (FCT-ACSPB) as a finalist to its annual 2022 Innovation Awards, at The Hague, The Netherlands.
The body, in an email to director of the board, Dr Nanzing Nden, stated that the awards are designed ”to recognize great initiatives and proven solutions in pensions.”
Already, an exultant FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has congratulated Dr Nden, an acclaimed pension and finance guru, and permitted him to fly FCT’s banner at the august event where FCT Administration (FCTA) stands a good chance of emerging winner from a field of other nominees from across the world.
The awards hold in Louwman Museum this month. Dr Nden has jetted out of the country to honour the invitation to the event where FCTA is nominated in the category of plan design innovation and implementation of strategic initiatives for its pension board.
Ahead of the event, the organizers had in the email, dated August 19, 2022, informed Dr Nden that his board could win the award, hence the nomination.
Part of the email, signed by conference manager, Ms. Mirjam Guldemond, read: ”It is my great pleasure to inform you that your organization is a nominated finalist for the annual Pensions and Investment World Pension Summit Awards 2022.
”The awards are designed to recognize great initiatives and proven solutions in pensions.”
According to the organizers, winners and runners-up are to receive ”a beautiful hand-made glass award during the awards ceremony. All nominees receive a nomination certificate as well.”
The FCT-ACSPB under Dr Nden is reputed to be the first government organization in Nigeria’s age-old pension history to pay entitlements to public service staff before their exit from service just as National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has at several fora in Abuja poured encomiums on the board for uncommon pension administration delivery.
