FedPoly Ilaro turns out 35th set

The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, FPI, Ogun State, has graduated its 35th set at her 18th Convocation and 39th Founder Day’s ceremonies held recently at the institute’s convocation ground.

Challenging the 3, 028 graduands at both the National Diploma, ND, and Higher National Diploma, HND, levels, to prove their mettle, the Rector of the polytechnic, Mr. Olusegun Aluko, enjoined graduands to ensure that whatever theories learnt should inspire them to generate ideas, procedures and innovations that turn challenges into advantages.

Aluko counselled them to be different, saying “dare to find how things can work and do not regard the presence and challenges as reason enough not to perform wherever you find yourselves.”

A breakdown of the overall figures showed that 171 made Distinction, 965 made Upper Credit, 1,394 Lower Credit and 498 made Pass grades at both levels (ND and HND). However, the overall best student prize went to Islamiat Adenike Ojelade of the Science Laboratory Technology department, Bio-Chemistry option.
