Manchester United have signed Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce for £4.2million as cover for Andre Onana.
The 25-year-old, who is the first Turkish player to play for United, sorted a move after Dean Henderson went to Crystal Palace in a £15m switch on Thursday.

“It’s a huge honour to join United and become the first Turkish player to represent this incredible club,” Bayindir said. “I will give everything to help this special group of players to achieve our ambitions. I cannot wait to get started working with such an experienced goalkeeping unit. We will support each other and drive high standards every day so that each of us is ready to perform whenever called upon.”
The 25-year-old travelled to Athens to meet United staff on Tuesday for checks on a back injury as the club sought guarantees over his fitness. United have been discussing a move for the Turkey international with his £4.25m release clause for several weeks as they looked to provide competition for Andre Onana’s as the club’s No 1.
