Fire Pro, a fire fighting tool berths in Lagos

Fire fighting procedures is set to improve with the introduction of Fire Pro aerosol canister, now available in Nigeria.

Speaking with newsmen at a seminar held in Lagos recently, the Business Development Manager of Fire Pro, George Michael said Fire Pro is certified to extinguish any type of fire, stressing that there are standards that regulate the entire technology.

Fire Pro has since been commissioned across over 110 countries around the globe to a portfolio of prestigious customers, who have come to attest to its quality materials and certified shelf life of 15 years.

According to Michael, Fire Pro condensed aerosol systems are used in the engineering field as a substitute for traditional gaseous type agents or in applications where pressurised storage systems are not feasible or economically viable.

Justifying the introduction of the technology, he said: “Nigerians need this type of advanced technology to combat fire outbreak because of its space and weight saving, minimal maintenance costs, easy installation in new and/or retrofit projects, and easy connection to conventional fire detection and activation system among others adding that it operating temperatures of 50oC to 250oC with up to 98% humidity.”

Echoing similar sentiments, the Managing Director, Crown Safemasters Nigeria Limited, Mr. Joel Unuaga said the product is designed in Europe to suppress fire outbreak adding that it’s unique because it is a self activation system installation that does not need human operation to arrest fire outbreak.

The seminar was attended by officials of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and other corporate organisations.
