Firm empowers widows, bakers

An enterpreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Victoria Crest Homes, Mrs. Ichechi Okonkwo, has urged bakers to invest in the relationship they built on their journey to success.

She said they should build their brands to the level whereby their connections would open opportunities for them.

Mrs. Okonkwo spoke on ‘Building Resilience in your Entrepreneurial Journey at the third Dewdrops Uncut Learning 3 empowerment programme.

During the global event at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos with renowned bakers, N1 million equipment each was given to three bakers and grants to widows.

Beneficiaries  are Ibekwe Calista Ifunnaya of Caliz Bakeshop, Emeni Michael Oghenerukewe of Reciparian Cakes and Bernadette Jarret of Dainty Delights, from China

On the occasion, bakers  learnt from world acclaimed top bakers like Omolara Olateju of VD Cakes, London; Kate Omosanyin of Kawetildas Cakes from Kaduna State, Kema Abuede of Cakes Priests from Lagos, among others.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dewdrops Cakes, Mrs. Ezinne Okonkwo said this year’s outreach was enhanced and enriched by the Uncut Learning organisers’ partnership with Mr. Oluchukwu Peter Eziechina of Pemac Global, Lagos Island.

She said about 20 contestants participated in the baking contest, but four got to finals.
