Firm unveils farmers’ market outlet

ABIS farmers market has unveiled another outlet at Okota in Lagos State. 

Popular Nollywood veteran, Idowu Philips (Iya Rainbow); United Nations Ambassador on Government Bilateral Agreements, Dr. Adekunle Badmus; Pastor Ishaya Amos, were among personalities at the unveiling. 

Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Usman, said the farmers market idea was conceived 30 years ago. 

He said: “We’ve seen what is done outside the country, we have decided to replicate it here. Our outlet in Ajah is big, our customers are getting value for our produce.

‘’We want people to identify with us because we are promoting food security, and we want to change how people consume protein.”

He hailed Lagos State and Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, for the synergy and cooperation.

Usman said its animals are raised and processed in a unique way.

Badmus lauded the ‘initiative and described the firm’s chief executive officer as  passionate about food security, and healthy living. 

Iya Rainbow urged investors to replicate the idea in Nigeria, and hailed the firm for a clean environment. 

She said: “The environment is clean, there is no smell. Even the animal dung is being used as bio-gas. The Ajah outlet is expansive and neat when I visited.”
