Oil and gas firm, Engineering Automation Technology, has partnered Emerson Automation Solutions to improve automation and controls solutions in oil and gas.
Chief Executive Officer of Engineering Automation Technology, Emmanuel Okon, unveiled the pact in Abuja at the Nigeria Oil and Gas (NOG) Energy Week.
He said his company will serve as sole local business partner for Emerson’s business in Nigeria.
Okon noted part of the solutions to be undertaken for Emerson is on accurate metering and measurement of crude oil and gas production with checks on fraud.

He said the partnership will expand the firm’s activities with its current and future clients with an increase in human capacity development.
“The partnership shall enhance SCADA systems, flow computers, metering, pipeline monitoring solutions, terminal automation solutions and wellhead monitoring businesses to international and local oil companies…” he said.
Okon with Emerson’s representatives, took visitors around the exhibition booth, urging operators to take advantage of the partnership to optimise their production by ensuring production processes goes fully automated for cost optimisation.
He hailed leadership of Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Nigeria Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and NNPC Upstream Investment Services (NUIS) for regulation and investment which made this possible.
