First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has congratulated Senator Bareehu Olugbenga Ashafa on the occasion of his 70th birthday, commending his lifelong commitment to public service and legislative development.
In a birthday message issued on Tuesday, the First Lady described Senator Ashafa as a distinguished statesman whose leadership and contributions to national development remain commendable.
“I heartily rejoice with you, your family, well-wishers and associates on this joyous occasion of your 70th Birthday,” Senator Tinubu stated.

Recognising his years of impactful service, she noted, “Your life of service, leadership, contributions to public service and legislative development are worthy of commendation.”
The First Lady also offered prayers for continued strength and vitality for the celebrant, saying, “May Almighty God continue to grant you strength and wisdom as you continue to be of service to our beloved Nation. I wish you many more years of divine health, joy and continued fulfilment.”
Senator Ashafa, a former lawmaker who represented Lagos East Senatorial District in the National Assembly and served as the Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority, is widely respected for his legislative record and contributions to infrastructure and urban development.
