Five policemen were feared dead yesterday in a road accident while on their way from Edo to Kano State.
Commissioner of Police, Salmam Garba, said the fatal accident occurred along Kano-Zaria Expressway.
About eight others who were injured are being treated in a hospital, he disclosed.
“The deceased officers are from Kano command. They were drafted to Edo for election duty, where they carried out their assignment successfully.

“Sadly, they lost their lives at Karfi, when their vehicle had a head-on collision with a reversing trailer,” Garba said.
