The family of former Director-General of the Department of State Security (DSS), Mr. Ekpenyong Ita, has announced the death of his wife, Temitope.
In a statement by the couple’s son, Mr. Ekpenyong Ita (Jnr) in Abuja on Saturday, he stated that his mum passed away after a brief illness.
Mrs. Temitope Ekpenyong, a lawyer worked at the Corporate Affairs Commission in Abuja.
“She is survived by her husband, children, aged father, brothers, sisters and other relatives.
“Burial arrangement will be announced later by the family,” Ekpenyong Ita (Jnr) stated.
Ekpenyong , the husband of the deceased and pioneer Director of the DSS’ Institute of Security Studies in Abuja, succeeded Afakriya Gadzama as DG of DSS on September 7, 2010 and was in the position until July 2, 2015.
