Forum: pray for success of incoming administration

Forum of Tinubu Shetima Support Groups (FOTSS-G) has called on Nigerians to pray for the successful reign of the incoming administration of President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and his vice, Kashim Shettima.
National Chairman of the Forum, Dr Abiso Kabir, who made the call in Abuja yesterday, said those clamouring for interim government, in place of the democratically elected candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC), are enemies of Nigeria.
Kabir, who is deputy director of Special Duties III for APC Presidential Campaign Council, urged security agencies and lovers of democracy to join hands in preventing the plot from seeing light of day.
He said those bent on truncating the democratic choice should prepare to face the law
“We, as true democrats, cannot be intimidated by the noise making minority, who cannot reconcile with the reality of an electoral defeat, but would rather want to create chaos and confusion in the land.
“The current situation calls for serious introspection on the part of all concerned to avoid a repeat of the sordid experience of 1993, with the unjustified annulment of an election widely acclaimed as free and fair locally and internationally
“Those who think that they can drag us back to those inglorious days should perish the thought, as Nigeria of today is much different from that period
“What we should be doing is to engage in prayers for peace to reign and a successful inauguration of the incoming administration on May, 29, 2023.
“As we celebrate Easter, may the good Lord bring enduring peace, unity and prosperity to our nation.
“We enjoin our Muslim brothers and sisters to use the period of the Ramadan to put Nigeria and the incoming administration in prayers for good governance and enduring democracy”, Kabir said.
