Foundation donates foodstuff aged, widows

The Founder of Fatima Charity Foundation (FCF), Alhaji Bintu-Fatima Tinubu yesterday donated foodstuff to the aged women and widows in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area, Ajegunle.

She also made cash donation to the council ?350,000 to the Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government and N150,000 to the Widows of Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government

Alhaja Tinubu, who is the Iyalode of Lagos, said the gesture was to assist the government in reducing poverty in the country.

“We should be able to help the government, the little you have is not too small, whatever you can afford, people in the government are doing their best and they need help, we can’t wait for the government to do everything, we must help ourselves so that to reduce poverty in the community,” she said

She advised the beneficiaries to make good use of what they are given and be content with whatever they have, adding that the arrangement was an impromptu.

She urged women to keep constant watch over their children due to the several cases of untoward attitude children indulge in nowadays

“My advice is for them to take care of their homes, their children in particular because  of what is going on now; it worrisome and scary. We should be able to know the movement of our children and correct them where necessary. They are the future of tomorrow and this is the time to correct them and help them make the best decision,” she said

Vice Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Lucky Lucky Udiukhue thanked Alhaja Tinubu for the gesture.

“This programme shows the love Mama Bintu-Fatimah Tinubu has for the women and for the community. We all understand how the economy is today; some people might not be able to feed with a cup of rice or garri and for her to have come all the way from her own comfort zone to assist those in dire, it’s a welcome development. We can’t thank her enough,” he said.
