Four people have been hospitalised while some vehicles were damaged in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, following a clash between two factions of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) members at a political rally.
The APC members under the aegis of Danmodi Youths Concerned (DYC) organised a political rally in support of the deputy governor, Alhaji Umar Namadi Danmodi, who is the party’s governorship candidate.

Police spokesman Lawal Shi’isu said the clash resulted from a disagreement over the distribution of rally T-shirts..
Shi’isu said personnel from the Command had been drafted to the clash scene and that one suspect was arrested.
