Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Apapa Local Government have vowed to partner on traffic management improvement.
They made the commitment when FRSC’s Lagos State Sector Commander, Babatunde Farinloye, visited council Chairman, Idowu Senbanjo.
The visit explored the potential for implementing FRSC projects in Apapa.
Representatives from FRSC provided enlightenment on agency’s roles and functions.
They stressed FRSC’s commitment to promoting road safety, reducing accidents, and ensuring safety of road users.
Farinloye said: “Apapa, being a major port and an economic hub, experiences heavy vehicular traffic and poses unique road safety challenges.
He said the visit served as an important step in fostering collaboration between them.
Senbanjo hailed the visit and acknowledged importance of road safety in the community.
The chairman assured FRSC representatives of her commitment to improve road safety in Apapa.
