The death has occurred of Mrs. Beatrice Modupe Akinola (nee Oyelayo).
She died on August 22, 2023. She was 93.
A statement issued in Lagos yesterday by spokesman for the family, Chief J. Akingbola Akinola, SAN, said: “It is with heavy heart, but also with immense gratitude to God Almighty for a life dedicated to Him and humanity, that we announce the passing away of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and matriarch of the Akinola (Ogidan) Family of Ijoka, Ilesa, Mrs. Beatrice Modupe Akinola (nee Oyelayo), beloved wife of the late Venerable Festus Akinyele Akinola.

Mama was a respected educator and community leader, who devoted her life to positively impact everyone she encountered.
“She is survived by her children: Mrs. Olajumoke Akinkoye,
