Global prayer support for persecuted saints

Persecuted Christians in Syria, North Korea and Iraq will enjoy global prayer supports during this year’s The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP).

IDOP is a global day of intercession for persecuted Christians.

Millions of Christians in 156 nations will participate in the prayer summit tagged Nothing shall separate us.

Secretary of the Board of Trustees for Voice of Christian Martyr

Pastor Bosun Emmanuel stated this in a statement ahead of the 2015 International Day of Prayers for the Persecuted Churches from November 1-8.

Emmanuel said: “We solicit kindest assistance of all Christians for the Nigerian church to set Sunday 8th November, 2015 apart for prayers for persecuted Christians globally and locally.”

He explained that the IDOP Sunday serves as a good reminder for Christians in the nation to constantly remember “our brethren in northern Nigeria going through fiery tribulation under Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen.”

Only prayers, he stressed, can douse the fire of these religious extremists, pointing out that efforts by government to tackle them have been largely unsuccessful.
