‘Governance reduced to comedy in Ekiti’

chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mr. Bayo Babalotin, has expressed regret that governance has been reduced to comedy under Governor Ayo Fayose-led administration in the state.

Babalotin, who said the people of the state have now realised that “a wrong person and a wrong party is now in power,” said the APC is the right party that can turn around the fortunes of the state.

The APC chieftain also slammed the governor for his ceaseless attacks on President Muhammadu Buhari, a development he described as an “attention-seeking gimmick and a ploy to divert attention from failure in governance.”

Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti, the state capital to formally unfold his development agenda for the state barely a week after declaring his intent to run for the governorship seat at his local government area of origin, Ise/Orun, Babalotin said it is only an APC government that can reverse the present deplorable situation in the state.

He said: “It is very unfortunate that governance has been reduced to comedy in Ekiti State and the situation in our state now is highly unfortunate, because our people are being governed under a 419 set-up. This is a governor who calls himself a friend of the masses and finds it difficult to pay street sweepers, cannot pay workers’ basic salaries, rejected market women’s plea not to demolish their market so that they can sell their wares during the Yuletide.
