Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has applauded the APC Professionals Council, a grassroots mobilisation and support group, for intensifying mobilisation.
Tinubu, who spoke at inauguration of the council’s women wing, described the group as a backbone of progress and development.
Represented by his media aide, Tunde Rahman, hethanked the leadership, led by Director-General, Seyi Bamigbade, for advancing APC at the grassroots.
Wife of Kaduna State Governor Hajia Asia El-Rufai hailed the council’s initiative towards 2023 elections.
She said women have a role in development, urging the wing to take the message of inclusion everywhere.
APC National Women’s Leader Betta Edu hoped they would open a new vista in women inclusion in politics.
Chairman of House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development Adewunmi Onanuga noted that women wielded power that can change the country.
Director of the wing Ronke Soyombo said Nigeria would miss if women were not given chance to make decisions.
