Group of residents in the mainland area of Lagos State has sent a Save Our Soul message to Governor Babatunde Sanwo-Olu about the continuous dredging of their areas for sand and gravel by some companies in order to avoid the environmental disaster looming in the area.
The group in a joint press conference addressed by Alhaji Taiwo Quadri, Chairman Okobaba Sawmill pointed out that a company known as FBT Coral Estate has expanded its dredging work beyond the limit along beaches and in the surf-zone, adding that this may cause erosion because of the depleting of the shore of its sediment resources.
