An All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leader in Igbo-Eze South local government area of Enugu State, Hon. Lucky Idoko, has been shot dead by gunmen.
Idoko, who represented Unadu community as councillor, was allegedly murdered in the village on Saturday while on a motorbike.
Though details of his alleged attack were sketchy, reports said Idoko who was also chairman of Vigilante group in his community, was shot while the passenger he conveyed on his motorbike escaped unhurt.

A source told our correspondent: “What we don’t know is why he should be killed at this critical political moment. I don’t also know if he has problem with his security outfit of which he is the head.”
Police spokesman Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the incident, saying the command had launched an investigation into it.
