Hacked phone:  Fraudsters  demand  money from Amuneke’s contacts

Emmanuel Amuneke yesterday lost control on his Spanish number to hackers.

The former Barcelona winger who is based in Spain with family, recently left Zambian side, Zanaco following a difficult spell which was made worst by unfavourable results on the pitch.

Hackers in possession of Amuneke’s phone demanded money from multiple contacts on his list in disguise of being the former Nigerian international.

Speaking on the issue, Amuneke said: “I’m disappointed that dubious people would go through that length to hack my number and use it for wrong doings.

“I’m really disappointed. So, I’m using this opportunity to info everyone that my Spain line has been hacked and they should please ignore calls from criminals asking them to send money.

“I’m working to recover the line but it’s important for people to be aware of the current situation. Please ignore the calls from my Spanish line because it’s not from me at the moment.”

Amuneke won the U-17 FIFA World Cup with the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria in 2015.
