Heartland’s management in stormy session with technical crew

Heartland fc’s management has held a marathon meeting with the technical crew of the Naze Millionaires in the wake of the team’s home loss to Abia Warriors, and the coaches were given stern instructions to ensure that the club does not suffer such heartache again this season.

The Owerri side were brimming with confidence, expecting a routine home win before Wednesday’s Match Day Five encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, but were shocked to their marrows when an 89th minute strike from Ifeanyi Onyeali confined them to a defeat.

The Media Officer of the club, Cajetan Nkwopara, told SportingLife that the management of the Naze Millionaires expressed displeasure with the home loss.

He said the club’s management reminded the coaches of their responsibilities to the team and that they were told to tell their players to brace up and not allow the early season form to delude them from the reality on the ground.

Nkwopara stated that the Heartland coaches have been told to forget about the loss and focus on the tough tie against Warri Wolves this weekend.

Heartland are third on the log with nine points from five matches.
