The campaign office of the governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Terhemba Shija, has been vandalised by suspected hoodlums.
The Director-General of Shija Campaign Organisation James Mbachiatim, who conducted reporters around the office located on Railway Bypass in Makurdi, Benue State said apart from carting away valuable office equipment, the hoodlums also destroyed APC flags and removed the irons.
He said while the matter has been reported to the B Division Police Station at High-level in Makurdi, sabotage can’t be ruled out because Prof. Terhemba Shija is a credible and leading governorship aspirant who posed a threat to opponents who are in the same race and wants to intimidate him.
Mbachiatim, accompanied by Director, Media and Publicity, Samuel Adzegeh conducted reporters around the vandalised office.
They, however, said nobody can truncate Shija’s desire to take over the Government House in 2023.
Many of Shija’s political associates and supporters stormed the office to show solidarity.
