Experts have highlighted measures to strengthen business in the country for sustainability. They made the measures known at an event in Ekiti State.
Hosted by Face of Liberty, a non-profit organisation, the event, held at Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs and thinkers.
Representative of the Vice Chancellor, the Director of Entrepreneurship, FUOYE, Dr. Ademola Akinsorota, stressed the importance of critical thinking and innovation in achieving success in business.
Lead at Face of Liberty International, Mr. Leonard Ogunweide, reiterated the organisation’s commitment to collaborating with individuals and businesses seeking to break economic barriers.
He said: “Our goal is to ignite the flame of liberty in the hearts of every African, empowering them to create a sustainable and prosperous future.”

Entrepreneur and keynote speaker, Abayomi Ogundile, identified resilience, innovation and critical thinking as ingredients for building and sustaining business.
“For a business to be truly sustainable, it must be built on solid foundations and possess the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances,” he said.
A guest speaker, Dr. Dotun Famoriyo, spoke on the policies affecting sustainable businesses in Nigeria and emphasised the importance of fostering collaboration among stakeholders, including governments, private sectors, civil societies, and communities.
The summit also dedicated a panel discussion to celebrate and empower women entrepreneurs. They stressed the importance of enhancing access to finance and resources for women in business.
Entrepreneurs who have been successful in businesses on the FUOYE campus, shared their experience. They offered insights on navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by the academic environment.
Ogunweide, on behalf of Face of Liberty International, presented prizes to the winners and runners-up of the 2023 Ekiti Business Summit Article Writing Competition.
