Veteran Afrobeats singer Jazzman Olofin has claimed that he almost lost his car to fire while recording in the studio.

The ‘raise the roof’ singer had gone for a studio session while leaving behind his power bank in the car.

The power bank exploded, almost causing inferno in the car.

Narrating the incident on Facebook, Olofin said: “Car almost got burnt yesterday afternoon while working at the studio. The power bank I kept in the car door’s pocket exploded into a slow burning flame and started melting/damaging whatever was in its way.

“Thank GOD my studio session was not a long one. I came out to where I parked the car and saw the burning power bank early enough. Smoke filled up the car interior.”

He however advised the public to be careful with handling power banks.

“So let’s be careful of keeping our power banks in the car, especially when the car is parked in the extra hot sun.

“I actually had been looking for this particular one for the past few weeks, didn’t know it was in there all the while getting ready to unleash the dragon.”
