Jude ‘MI’ Abaga has posited that he wants to leave a legacy as a legendary rapper from Africa.
The 40-year-old rapper and music executive made this known on Africa Now Radio with Dadaboy Ehiz after the release of his latest album entitled, ‘The Guy.’
The rap act said he asked himself why he had to release another album in 2022 and he concluded that the world needs to know that a legendary rapper existed in Africa.
“I’ll be honest, before this project I asked myself ‘is there anything more that I can give? Why am I doing this, is it ego?’ And the answer I came up with is that it would be great if the whole world knew that in Africa there was a legendary rapper that existed, someone who put the whole continent on his back, someone who’s been doing it. I think that’s the rest of the journey for me, letting everybody know.”
Recently, the rapper argued that rap music isn’t dead even though rappers now sing more after the release of Canadian-born rapper, Drake’s current album.
