Old students of Ibadan Grammar School, under the aegis of Ibadan Grammar School Old Students Association (IGSOSA), will hold their 105th annual re-union and founder’s day this weekend.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer and Head of the Reunion Media Committee, Prof. Siji Adeokun, said the two-day event will begin with a meeting with stakeholders on the school premises on Friday and end with an anniversary dinner at Premier Hotel, Ibadan on Saturday.
He said a career workshop and counseling programmes are in the pipeline to prepare pupils for future challenges, adding that a doctor, who is an old student, Seyi Roberts, will deliver a lecture at Emmanuel Alayande Hall.
Adeokun, a former provost of the College of Agricultural Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, said a cultural show-cum-dancing-and singing has been scheduled to hold at the hall.
He said Obu and Fabu Nite holds at the Banquet Hall of Premier Hotel, Ibadan on Saturday, while thanksgiving is scheduled for the chapel and anniversary dinner at Premier Hotel on the same day.
Adeokun said guests and old students should dress in blue and white clothes, wearing the school blazer, scarf and tie.
