Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has received accolades for setting up a 15-man economic advisory team to enhance the economic fortunes and revenue base of the state.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Chief Uchenna Igwesi, in a statement, said Ugwuanyi was proactive, sincere and frank in his efforts to build on the transformation agenda of his predecessor.
He said the wisdom that informed the idea and choice of members was deep rooted and incisive, describing the team as a crack economic team of seasoned and tested economic gurus in both the private and public sectors.
According to Igwesi, “it was only wise and necessary that a proactive government should devise economic survival means of not only shoring the revenue base, but in developing the economic road map upon which her transformation agenda will be sustained.”
The former lawmaker said the governor has demonstrated political sagacity in the few assignments and decisions he had undertaken.
